  1. Giveaways and Prize Draw Terms and Conditions 

    These apply to your participation in any of our Facebook / Instagram Prize Draws. By submitting your entry, you agree to these rules and agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

    The Promoter:

    1. The promoter of the prize draw is Very Lazy
    2. Very Lazy, Greenham Business Park, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 6HA

    The Prize Draw:

    1. The prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.

     

    1. Details on how to enter the prize draw will be stated in the Facebook or Instagram post relating to the prize draw.

     

    1. The opening and closing dates for submitting your entry for the prize draw will be stated in the Facebook or Instagram post relating to the prize draw.

     

    1. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

     

    1. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. No responsibility can be accepted for any technical failures of any kind or any unauthorised intervention in any part of the entry process, nor for any technical or human error, which may occur in the administration of the prize draw or the processing of entries.

    Eligibility:

     

    1. The prize draw is open to all residents in the UK over the age of 18 whom hold a valid Facebook / Instagram account (held in accordance with the Facebook / Instagram terms and conditions) except employees of:

     

    1. the Promoter;
    2. any business involved or associated with the prize draw; or
    3. any of the Promoter’s agencies (including any of their parent and/or affiliate companies); or
    4. the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and other household members of any such employee described in this clause.

     

    1. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entrants’ eligibility.

     

    1. Entries must not contain material that is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, derogatory or anything similar; may promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or that may promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity or age.

     

    1. The Promoter will not accept entries that are automatically generated by computer, submitted on behalf someone else, completed by third parties or in bulk, are illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or copied, or are submitted in a false name or address or contain any other untruthful, inaccurate or misleading information.

     

    1. There is a limit of 1 (one) entry per person.

     

    1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.

    Winner(s) and Prize(s):

    1. Details of the nature and number of will be stated prizes Facebook or Instagram post relating to the prize draw.

     

    1. The winner(s) will be selected by random draw performed by a computer programme.

     

    1. The winner(s) will be contacted directly via their social media account (either by the platforms direct messaging system or via comment) within 7 days and they will be asked to confirm a UK address for delivery of the Prize within the following 7 days. Entrants should ensure that their privacy settings on Facebook or Instagram allow the Promoter to message you.

     

    1. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted or are not available or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of been contacted in accordance with clause 15 above, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the valid entries received before the closing date.

     

    1. The prize is non-refundable, non-changeable and no cash alternative will be given.

     

    1. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on behalf of a winner.

     

    1. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

     

    1. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute another prize of similar or greater value.

     

    1. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the winner(s) to anyone who writes to Very Lazy, Greenham Business Park, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 6HA (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date of the prize draw.

     

    1. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter caroline@customerservicesteam.co.uk. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

    Data protection and publicity:

    1. Insofar as the Promotor becomes a controller of any personal data relating to entrants, any such personal data will be held and/or processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and for the purposes of the prize draw only.     2. Subject to clause 23 above, no personal data of entrants held and/or processed by the Promoter will be disclosed to a third party without the data subject’s prior consent, other than is absolutely necessary so as to fulfil the terms of the prize draw, in which case such processing will be subject to the necessary lawful basis under data protection legislation.

     

    1. You should not submit any personal data that is not personal to and/or relates specifically to you. You hereby warrant that the information which you submit and/or distribute will not infringe the intellectual property or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.

     

    1. By entering the prize draw, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.

    Ownership and publication of entries and intellectual property rights:

    1. Winner(s) may be required to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the prize draw. By entering the prize draw you hereby assign to the Promoter, and waive your moral rights in, the copyright and all other intellectual property rights whatsoever in your entry and confirm that you have no rights in any promotional or advertising material or similar which arises out of, or is in connection, with the prize draw.

     

    1. For the avoidance of doubt, by entering this prize draw, the entrants agree for the images and/or videos shared as part of their entry to be used on Very Lazy’s social media channels.

    General:

    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.

     

    1. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

     

    1. Except where prohibited, entrants agree that:

     

    1. any and all claims brought by them in relation to the prize draw, and any consequential judgments or awards, shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the prize draw; and
    2. under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages otherwise increased.

     

    1. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury or damage to persons or property, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, from any entrant’s participation in the prize draw or from any prize.

     

    1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties hereby agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
