Savoury Spring Onion Pancakes

For the pancakes:

  • 1/2 cup finely sliced spring onions
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil (plus more for brushing)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cooking Steps

    Mix together flour, boiling water, salt, spring onions and sesame oil.

    Use more flour if necessary to knead and make a smooth ball.

    Cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel and leave it to rest for 30 minutes.

    Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each into a smooth ball.

    On a floured surface, roll out into a disk and brush on a very thin layer of sesame oil.

    Repeat with the rest of the dough, cover with a damp towel and leave to rest for 10 minutes.

    Fry in a pan with vegetable oil.

  • 8

    Mix the sauce ingredients and dip your pancakes in!
